Textbook Return Information
A message from our librarian, Mrs. Monkman:
Parents and Guardians,
All library books are due the Friday after Memorial Day, May 30. Students need to return all their textbooks the following week on these days:

New - June 16th: 8th Grade Promotion
Family and friends are invited to join us as the class of 2008 is promoted to High School. Ceremony begins at 9:15 on the Standley blacktop.
Boyd Anderson Photography will be on hand taking pictures of the graduates and will have a variety of picture packages for sale afterwards. For more information, visit their website at www.boydanderson.com.
A DVD of the promotion ceremony will also be available from MLY Photography. The order form is available here.
Additionally, the ASB and Yearbook will be selling water for $1, and congratulatory flowers in $2 or $5 bouquets.
June 13th: 8th Grade Boomers Trip
8th Grade Students will be celebrating the end of their time at Standley Middle School on the annual Boomers trip. Tickets cost $20 and are available at the Financial Office. Students must turn in a signed permission slip at the time of purchase. Bus transportation to Boomers is provided.
June 11th, 8:00 - 9:15: 6th Grade AWARDS
The Standley Middle School 6th Grade Teachers and Staff will be honoring selected students in our Annual 6th Grade Award Ceremony. Students who are receiving awards have already been given invitations. The ceremony itself will begin at 8:00, and will be held in the Auditorium.
June 6th, 4:30 - 7:45: 8th Grade Dance
The Standley 8th Grade Dance, "An Evening Under the Stars" will be held on Friday, June 6th from 4:30 - 7:45. Tickets are on sale at the Financial Office for $13. Bus transportation home from the Dance will be provided.
June 5th: 8th Grade Awards
The Standley Middle School 8th Grade Teachers and Staff will be honoring selected students in our Annual 8th Grade Award Ceremony. Students who are receiving awards have already been given invitations. The ceremony itself will begin at 5:30, and will be held in the Auditorium.
JUne 5th: 7th Grade Awards
The Standley Middle School 7th Grade Teachers and Staff will be honoring selected students in our Annual 7th Grade Award Ceremony. Students who are receiving awards have already been given invitations or have been notified by phone. The ceremony itself will begin at 8:00, and will be held in the Auditorium.
May 23rd - Seventh Grade Dance
Standley's 7th grade dance will be held on Friday,May 23rd in the Standley Activity room from 3:00 - 4:45. Tickets cost $3.00, which includes food, drink, and secure storage of backpacks and belongings. There will also be a late bus provided for those students that ride the bus.
May 22nd - Standley Track Meet
Standley's annual Track Meet will be held on the lower fields for those students qualified to compete throughout the year in their Physical Education Classes. Please contact Coach Aaron Hartin for specific information.
May 21st - Curriculum Faire
Standley Middle School opens its doors to prospective students and their families. Students and parents are encouraged to visit classrooms to preview curriculum, student work, special projects, in a friendly atmosphere. There will be a variety of special events throughout the evening, including:
5:00 - 5:45: New Student Orientation
5:45 - 6:10: Student Fashion Show
6:00 - 8:30: "Special Spring Concert II" Musical Performance
